What could be better than ice cream on a hot summer day?
That's right, healthy ice cream on a stick – or as a hipster would say: nice cream! Nice cream is a healthy trend we're happy to be part of. It involves making ice cream at home using simple, sugar-free, and chemical-free ingredients, so you can eat as much as you want without feeling guilty. Blogger Isabella ( @easyherbst ) shared her recipe with us. You can make both creamy ice cream to eat with a spoon and ice cream on a stick.
For cold-pressed popsicles, you basically only need one ingredient: I·DO cold-pressed juice . You can refine the whole thing by blending and adding a fruit of your choice.
My popsicles go like this:
- 1 I·DO Soulful Beets
- 1 I·DO Liquid Salad
- ½ orange
- 2 pieces of chocolate
- Berries for decoration
Puree the orange in a blender and add half to each of the juices, shaking well. Now pour the juice into ice cube trays, making some green and some red popsicles. Freeze the whole thing for a few hours.
Once the ice cream has set, melt the chocolate in a double boiler and, using a teaspoon, drizzle thin strips over the finished ice cream bars. Now garnish with berries before the chocolate sets, and enjoy.
Best regards
