On average, Germans eat around 19 kilograms of apples per year. This makes pome fruit by far the most popular type of fruit in this country. And if you want to eat an apple, you are spoiled for choice: around 1,500 different varieties grow in Germany. There are even around 4,500 worldwide. For our I·DO juices, we mainly use Granny Smith and Golden Delicious to refine the taste in optimal interaction with the other ingredients.

The orange carrot that we find everywhere today probably only existed through breeding since the 16th century. Before that, the carrots were mostly yellow or purple. These “original carrots” can now also be found at vegetable stands.
The largest producer of carrots is China. Almost half of global production now comes from the Middle Kingdom. Incidentally, the world's largest carrot was harvested in Canada. She weighed an impressive 10 kilograms.

The beetroot is a typical winter vegetable. Even in colder regions like Russia, Poland and Scandinavia, the beetroot grows without any problems. It tastes mildly sweet and sometimes a bit earthy. In supermarkets, you can often find pickled or cooked packaged versions of the beet - probably because of the little mess it can cause during processing. But it is worth it, because the beetroot can of course be enjoyed freshly processed or raw.

The Germans are true lemon fans - all in all, we consume more lemons each year than France and Great Britain combined. The citrus fruit probably originally comes from northern India and came to Germany in the course of the 16th century. Biologically, the lemon came from a cross between two citrus fruits: the bitter orange and the citron.

How long do I·DO organic juices keep?

I·DO organic juices are preserved using the HPP process. As a rule, the products can be kept for several weeks - but at least 10 days - after leaving the warehouse.

Where can I return the deposit?

The bottles made from recycled PET are part of the deposit system. You can in every supermarket and at every point of sale throughout Germany return with other deposit products.
